The DataTap 10 is our newest ASCB-D Bus Interface Product. This is a handheld, USB-powered, ASCB-D interface that is available in RX-ONLY and optionally RX/TX versions. The DataTap 10 is a high performance replacement for a pair of our previous DataTap 5 adapters and is a next generation ASCB-D bus analyzer product. Because the DataTap 10 uses two onboard processors, we are able to perform all processing and conversion of the ASCB-D data in the DataTap 10. This is a radical departure from our past ASCB-D FlightLine 1400 and 1500 bus reader platforms which required a dedicated laptop and were processor intensive. The DataTap 10 comes with a Windows XP, Vista and 7 based software package that can be installed on your laptop or desktop computer. The FlightLine 1400 and 1500 products are still available, but will use one DataTap 10 for ASCB-D bus interfacing going forward. The DataTap 10 is a quad-channel ASCB-D bus interface that processes receive data from 2 of the 4 busses (user selectable) and can (optionally) transmit on all 4 busses as well. The RX only version of the product does not contain the output drivers and other hardware for transmission as a safety mechanism to prevent accidental transmission. | The DataTap 10 is actually a hand held replacement for a Honeywell TIU Server with dual PCI-NICs. At this time, the TIU Client Software cannot connect to the DataTap 10, but ICS is presently adding TX functionality to our FlightLine Reader Software for support of the DataTap 10’s optional TX functionality. |
