6U Full Up Industrial TIU
The 6U TIU is the workhorse of our TIU line that is built to handle the rigors of flight test. The Unit is 6 EIA Rack Units (9 Inches) tall and 18 inches deep. The 6U unit features the most functionality of any of our TIUs. These units can be equipped with backplane options to handle the following configurations: 11 ISA , 1 CPU card, and 6 PCI cards; 8 ISA, 1 CPU card, and 9 PCI cards; 1 ISA, 1 CPU and 16 PCI slots. With these combinations, you can handle just about any I/O requirements, but for those of you who still need more, we also offer a Dual 6U solution which consists of two 6U chassis and supports up to 36 I/O cards.
The 6U TIU functionality can include 1 or 2 PCI-NIC's for monitoring of data on up to 4 ASCB D buses and for transmitting (optionally, transmitting can be disabled in hardware for flight safety) on both sides of the ASCB D buses in an aircraft installation or test bench. Additionally, Multiple ARINC 429, Discrete Input, Discrete Output, Analog Input and Analog Output cards can be hosted. All 6U TIUs come standard with internal +/- 28Volt power supplies to power the Honeywell I/O cards.
The standard 6U includes both (1) 10/100 LAN and (1) 10/100/1000 interfaces, one for the PRIMUS EPIC LAN in the aircraft or test bench, and one for connection to a corporate LAN in ground based applications. Other standard features include a 3.5" Floppy Drive, 36GB 10K RPM U160 SCSI Hard Disk, 24X or faster CD-RW drive, 36 GB Removable Hard Disk, 2 RS-232 ports, 1 Printer Port, mouse and keyboard.
Available options include: Removable Hard Disk upgrade to 73GB for greater storage capacity and 10Base 2 network adapter.
